The Devil's Playthings

It's slightly less than two days before we leave. We've packed nothing. Sure, we know exactly what it is we need to pack, and we know that we need to clean our house so it's nice when we get back to it, but today we've done approximately nothing.

It's hard to know where to start, when everything needs to be done. There's little point to packing clothes, because we're waiting for some clothes on the line to dry. There's not a lot of point to properly cleaning the kitchen, because it will still need to be used for a couple of meals, and we'd have to do it all over again. So we've moved things around, from a place that is considered "messy", to a place that is considered "away".

I wish all our packing was going to be this easy. Tomorrow we will be so busy we will not have time to breathe, but considering the size of our undertaking, and our utter lack of knowledge of how to do it, so far it's been really easy.

The Journey begins...

... on Monday.

That's right, this coming Monday we leave on our much-belated honeymoon. Three years late, in fact. We're heading off on a five week trip around Europe. It's quite exciting really. I've not been overseas since I was about 15, and of course this will be much different to simply following my parents around. It had better be much different. Although I suppose this time I might end up just following my wife around.

The one thing I'm not looking forward to is the airline seating. I have enough problems fitting into a train seat. And that's only for about 30 minutes at a time. I do not know how I will be able to cope with the 9 hour flights. Stupid long legs.

More as it comes to hand...
